Create Your First Knowledge Base

Setting up a knowledge base takes just a few minutes:

  1. Navigate to Knowledge Base Go to the Knowledge Base section in your orckAI dashboard
  2. Create New Knowledge Base Click "Create Knowledge Base" and choose a descriptive name
  3. Add Description Describe what type of information this knowledge base contains
  4. Set Access Level Choose who can access this knowledge base (organization-wide or specific users)
  5. Create & Upload Save your knowledge base and start uploading documents

Supported Formats

PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), Text (.txt), Markdown (.md), CSV, and many more. Files up to 100MB each.

  1. Select Knowledge Base Choose the knowledge base you want to add documents to
  2. Drag & Drop Files Drag files onto the upload area or click to browse your computer
  3. Wait for Processing Files are automatically processed and indexed for search
  4. Verify Upload Check that your documents appear in the knowledge base with correct metadata

  1. Connect Account Link your Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox account
  2. Select Folders Choose which folders to sync with your knowledge base
  3. Configure Sync Set up automatic sync frequency and file type filters
  4. Monitor Imports Track import progress and resolve any sync issues

Troubleshooting

AI is not finding relevant information

Solution: Check that your documents are properly indexed. Try rephrasing your question or adding more specific keywords. Ensure document content is machine-readable (not scanned images).

Citations are pointing to wrong documents

Solution: Verify document names are descriptive and unique. Check for duplicate content across files. Consider reorganizing similar documents into separate knowledge bases.

File upload fails or gets stuck

Solution: Ensure file size is under 100MB. Check your internet connection. Try a different file format. Contact support if the issue persists with specific file types.
